After 17 years of rugged living in Mozambique, my muscles were badly inflamed, my energy levels were low, and I was not bouncing back from malaria like I once did. Being an RN, I knew I was in serious trouble. As the "mother" to 1,900 orphans, this had me very upset, because I knew my work in Mozambique was not completed. I was taking high levels of vitamins and food supplements for the last 2 years, yet I had NO ENERGY after 2pm daily. A 4-hour drive to our nearest city wiped me out for 2 days! I was living on prescription anti-inflammatory drugs due to the shoulder and back injuries I'd suffered from 17 years of off road driving. My doctor commented that it wasn't my age, but my body's "mileage" that was slowing me down.
