"We had a wonderful, restful time at the Good Book Oasis, located in the foothills of the White Carpathian mountains, and want to to share the good news about this place with others. 

The Oasis itself is lovely, bright, roomy and home-like. The sauna and fireplace were a real treat to come home to after a day in the snow. Our kids enjoyed sledding on the hill behind the house, and our daily walks in the woods were always a great time to see deer, rabbits, hawks and eagles. We were delighted to discover Skiland, about a 25 minute drive away. It was a family-friendly place, especially for beginners and inexpert skiiers and snowboarders like us to gain some experience. It didn't have the long lines or high prices of a bigger ski center.

Bratislava, a 110 kilometer drive away, is convenient for business and shopping, and Budapest, Prague and Vienna are all within easy driving distance from the Oasis. Myjava, 8 kilometers from the house, has several good grocery stores, a bank, and a T-Mobile store, in case you need to recharge your SIM card. We were just charmed by the beauty of the Slovakian countryside around us. It truly is one of the most beautiful places we've seen in Europe. All in all, the Oasis is aptly named: we came away refreshed and ready to walk a few more miles on our field!"  -- Tim and Carre (and children!)
